Information handled by the extension
Your settings (including an optional Letterboxd username), your last comparison partner, Fav Match results, your “Keep your friends close” shortcuts, and a copy of the list of members you follow on Letterboxd (with their public names and profile pictures, refreshed daily) are stored in Chrome extension storage on your device. They are not sent to the extension developer.
Website access and requests
The extension reads Letterboxd pages and makes requests to Letterboxd using your browser session to provide its features. When you use actions such as adding a film to your watchlist or saving a rating, the requested action is sent to Letterboxd. Letterboxd handles those requests under its own privacy policy.
For streaming availability, the extension sends the film’s title and the selected country to JustWatch’s search (apis.justwatch.com) and may request JustWatch pages. Those requests do not include your Letterboxd username or cookies. JustWatch handles them under its own privacy policy.
Collection and sharing
The extension does not include analytics, advertising, or a developer-operated server. It does not sell your information. The extension does not access or store your Letterboxd password.
Retention and choices
You can change or reset settings from the extension’s settings page. Chrome removes extension storage when you uninstall the extension. Letterboxd and JustWatch activity is subject to those services’ own retention and privacy practices.
